Behind the Music

TOPJAW IS BACK! The blues-infused, hard rock outfit are back after a long pandemic with a brand new lineup to change up the game with their own boundary-pushing evolution of modern rock music. Rooted in a strong blues-rock foundation inspired by the likes of Led Zeppelin, ZZ Top and Stevie Ray Vaughan. TopJaw brings the classic rock sound to the modern stage, blending together the contagious melodies and iconic songwriting of artists like The Eagles and Blackberry Smoke with the edgy tones and ferocious energy of bands such as Van Halen and Audioslave.
The group's name originated from a wild drunk who repeatedly leapt onto their stage at one of the bands early shows to steal the mic, demanding they play his favorite covers. The crazed fan had an overbite with no bottom teeth! The band dubbed him “TopJaw” and then adopted the name for themselves. However, ol’ TopJaw isn’t the only person who’s been swept away by the bands electrifying sound. Their songs have been raved about by press outlets worldwide, as well as been played on radio stations all around the USA. They are also regulars at some of Hollywood’s major jam nights, not to mention were also featured artists at the NAMM after party for LiveNation at House of Blues.
TopJaw has their first batch of 8 original songs available everywhere. These include the grooving, yet heavy-hitting riff-fueled ‘Dealing Double’. A story-driven debut single that deals with the concept of karma. Not to forget their speedy, charismatic rock anthem ‘Fastback’ and hard rock epic ‘Want it Back’, both of which have been praised for their accessible, yet authentic sound that has often been compared to modern acts such as Shinedown and Greta Van Fleet. The band is currently writing new material and gearing up to tour the USA and are showing no signs of stopping anytime soon.
